In the 19th century:
A common breakfast for the 19th century consists of: Corn bread, stew, boiled eggs, hot cakes, cold bread, sausages, fried potatoes, hot bread, chops, omelet, croquets, and a nice hash.
For dinner they eat food to the content of: soup, cold joint, calves' head, vegetables, roast turkey, cranberry sauce, boiled ham, boiled mutton, stewed liver, poultry, cutlets, fish, roast mutton, currant jelly, roast veal, steaks, oyster pie, roast pig, and apple sauce. They organize their meals to have a meat, vegetables, and soup.
Their desserts normally are: puddings, pie, jelly, custards and stewed fruit.
In the 19th century they did have tea time. At tea time the women would prepare something to the extent of: tea, cold bread, milk toast, stewed fruit, stewed oysters, hot light bread, fish, frizzled beef, soused calves' feet, and light cake.
